Stop Motion Summer Fun

How do you make plastic fashion dolls feel real? You give them a bottle of rosé, and a life of their own!

Set designer + prop stylist Amy Chinelli and I created lively stop motion scenes for Ashes & Diamonds Winery’s summer release. Each of the wine bottles was shot separately, and composited into frame. We used placeholder miniature bottles while shooting so that we would have sizing, perspective, and shadow references.

We worked closely with Ashes & Diamonds to ensure each scene felt like “a postcard fantasy of the California dream.” These gals sure are living that dream. More to come as the summer rolls on!
